Now that Kelly has finally gone public with her engagement to manager Tim Witherspoon, the singer and ‘X Factor’ judge is opening up about her fiance’s sweet and unexpected Skype proposal in a revealing new interview!
HollywoodLife.com exclusively confirmed Kelly Rowland‘s happy news on Dec. 5, and now the former Destiny’s Child member is sharing the story behind the bling in an interview airing Dec. 18 on The Queen Latifah Show. “He put a ring on it,” Kelly giddily confessed as she flashed her diamond to host Queen Latifah – who thankfully pressed her for more details!

Kelly and her fiancé, Tim Witherspoon, have been keeping their love on the low down for years, but it seems she just couldn’t hide her excitement about their engagement another minute!
Kelly, 32, revealed to Queen that Tim popped the question via Skype while she was in Bulgaria.
“He asked me first on Skype,” she said, laughing. “And I was like, ‘We’re so far away from each other.’”
“It was so late, I remember we were both just kinda like, honestly, just staring at each other,” Kelly explained. “And he asked me, and it was just that simple to say yes. I was like, ‘I got my best friend to ride through life with.’ He really is my best friend.”
Aww, how sweet! We wish Kelly and Tim a lifetime of happiness!
Kelly Rowland Flashes Bling At Jay-Z Concert
Kelly may not have been ready to confirm her engagement until now, but that didn’t stop her from flashing her brand new engagement ring all over town! The singer and her bling (and Tim) were last spotted at the Jay-Z concert in LA on Dec. 9, where the cushion-cut engagement ring made quite a statement on Kelly’s finger!
We also spotted Kelly sporting the gorgeous diamond stunner, which features a delicate halo, while she was out in LA on Nov. 26. Who knew the ring came with such a touching engagement story?
