Thanks to the televised and live stream New Year's coverage schedule, viewers will have multiple options to catch the big show, as well as the ball drop from Times Square.
The Christian Today website reported on Dec. 31 that ABC's annual New Year's Eve show will have coverage from Times Square, and performances from elsewhere including Miami and Los Angeles. Not only will Ryan Seacrest and Jenny McCarthy host live from New York City, but Black Eyed Peas' singer Fergie will be hosting festivities in Los Angeles. ABC lists coverage on their TV lineup and schedule for Tuesday night beginning at 8 p.m. EST, with another show listed for 10 p.m. EST and then the 11:30 p.m. EST special which is when the countdown and ball drop take place.
There's a great lineup of musical performers headling the special this year. That will include hip hop stars Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Florida Georgia Line, Ariana Grande, Enrique Iglesias, Jennifer Hudson, Robin Thicke and Pitbull. However, Miley Cyrus and Melissa Etheridge are scheduled to perform during the final show of the night, ahead of the ball drop. U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice Sonia Sotomayor will be on hand to help with the countdown and pressing the special button to drop the ball in Times Square.
To watch the traditional Dick Clark New Year's Eve 2014 special live online, cable and satellite viewers can head over to the Watch ABC website where they can log-in through their cable or satellite account and watch the special online. In addition, there's the Times Square NYC website which has live streaming online coverage of the countdown and ball drop from Times Square beginning as early as 6 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
